E-HUB

The E-Hub is an innovative package of education, entertainment, and e-commerce for our MPowered Villages. It provides villagers with services such as Wi-Fi, Internet access, collaboration space, printing, online Government documentation, e-ticketing, entertainment, and so on. It is also used to supplement classroom learning with an engaging software that facilitates teaching as well as self-learning – English, Hindi, Science, and Math – in fact, the entire school curriculum. Participants also have the opportunity to develop basic computer skills.

The E-Hub typically comprises a 250 Watt solar-powered set up with a tablet, HD projector, laptop, color printer, and the educational software.

Once successfully installed, experts from Mrida train a Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) on maintenance and operations of the E-Hub, providing an income for the VLE, and simultaneously providing services for the rest of the village.
