CLEAN DRINKING WATER

The safety & health of the villagers is one of the main areas of concern. Therefore, the availability of clean drinking water is of prime importance. The Foundation has installed solar-powered water pumping & purification in villages Bajudih & Jharnamuri as well as their local government school. The provision of water is based on a community collection model where each household pays a nominal amount, decided by the beneficiaries per month to the Water Management Committee. The collected funds are deposited with the VDC (Village Development Committee). The money collected is utilized for the upkeep of the system and creates a sustainable intervention.

The provision of clean drinking water helps prevent diseases such as diarrhoea, cholera, dysentery & typhoid. By providing clean drinking water and educating communities on its importance, we safeguard the health of the whole village.
